Publications

The organizers of the Finethikon Congresses have launched their own series of books on financial and organizational ethics: the Finethikon-Jahrbuch (Finethikon Yearbook on Financial and Organizational Ethics).

The first volume, issued hot off the press in Steinbeis-Edition, Stuttgart, in September 2011, comprises the papers presented and the panel discussion of the first  Financial Ethics Congress in Berlin 2010 as well as the subject-related guest contributions in German and English.

This yearbook includes top-class treatises by economists, sociologists, historians, ethicists, psychologists and representatives from the realms of politics, economics and sociology, who have opened a sustainable and, at the same time, always highly topical discourse on the issues of financial and organizational ethics. Kurt Biedenkopf, Günter Endruweit, Peter Schallenberg, Max Otte and Margrit Kennedy, amongst others, have their say.

From the dust-jacket text:

Ethics, moral, standards and values are relevant at all system levels: the individual or personal, the organizational or institutional, the cultural and the social levels. The goal of the first Financial Ethics Congress 2010 in Berlin was to explore the interaction between the elements and the levels and to explicate the special role of the financial subsystem. The present volume included the lectures, panel discussion and workshop results of this interdisciplinary and international ethics discourse between experts in the fields of science and field practice.

The Finethikon yearbooks, whose contributions are published periodically in German and English, present the lectures, discussions and workshops of the respective Financial Ethics Congresses, on the one hand. But, on the other, various contributions regarding financial and economic ethics, which are considered essential and highly important by the editor, are also included. In addition, this yearbook series offers much scope for topical discourses on ethics apart from the financial, organizational and economic systems.
